Welcome to our office, and thank you for entrusting us with your health. On your initial visit you will be asked to fill out a small amount of paperwork. We ask that you thoroughly read through each page before signing and dating. Following that, Dr. Jake will begin with a consultation, which is always free. Following the consultation, an exam is performed on the associated area, and it is at that time when it is determined whether or not x-rays are required prior to treatment. X-rays are taken on site at our office and read to the patient prior to treatment. Following x-rays, a ROF (report of findings) is given to the patient to discuss treatment plans and costs. During this time, Dr. Jake will discuss with the patient the type of treatment the patient would like. By this we mean short term goals vs. long term goals, which are discussed during the visit. Following the adjustment, Dr. Jake will determine whether or not therapy is recommended for the patient.
Would you like for the problem you are experiencing to be patched or fixed? "Patching" is comparable to a band aid whereas "fixing" is more long term with a maintenance type schedule to help prevent further occurrences.
